New Research Grant Awarded to Study Brain Dynamics in Pediatric Patients
Written by: Helena Zhang
We are excited to announce that Dr. Moss Zhao and his team have been awarded a prestigious "Team Science and Translational Medicine" pilot grant from the Maternal and Child Health Research Institute (MCHRI). This grant will support groundbreaking research into amplified brain and vascular dynamics in pediatric patients.
The study will focus on brain motion, utilizing advanced imaging techniques to compare children with Chiari Malformation to healthy pediatric subjects. We are excited about the opportunity to deepen our understanding of brain dynamics and improve diagnostic and treatment approaches for pediatric neurological conditions.
Dr. Zhao will lead a multi-disciplinary team of experts in this innovative project. The research group includes Dr. Gary Glover, Dr. Michael Moseley, Dr. Gerald Grant, Dr. Laura Prolo, and Dr. Elizabeth Tong, Dr. Julie Uchitel, Ms. Sasha Alexander.
We look forward to pushing the boundaries of medical research and we will share updates on this exciting project as it progresses.
